My boyfriend painted my nails…..what do you do when you just can’t decide what colour to paint your nails….. Oh I know ask your boyfriend to choose. Hmmmm I soon as I asked him I suddenly thought “Is this a good idea?”. It was too late I gave him control.
So he didn’t actually paint my nails he just helped this indecisive lady decide what, and how to paint my nails. The first thing he said was” how many can I choose” (oh lord!) “how ever many you want” I told him. “Ok, I choose this one, because my eye was first drawn to it, (the lilac polish), this one because it’s bright like summer (the neon yellow one), and this one because it looks saucy (the berry coloured varnish)” . He totally got involved I rate him for that, but he wasn’t actually done. He then told me what order he wanted me to paint my nails: two lilac, the middle finger should be bright berry colour, then the next two finger and thumb yellow.
So that’s what I did, but me being me I had to put my own twist on it. so I embellished.
- To create the angled straight lines at the tips of some of my fingers I used the nail foil tapes as guide lines and then peeled them off.
- I used a sponge to create a stippled effect.
- To create the dots….. well a dotting tool of course.
On one of my index fingers I used the Mariah carry Gold flakes polish but I thought that this ended up looking like crap, other than that it was bright and fun. Thanks BF you crazy guy.

Neutral nails are in, but why not add a bit of bling! I have been noticing all the nude nail polishes that have been coming out, from greys READ MORE
I stopped buying O.P.I, as it’s expensive and I always thought it took that little bit longer to dry meaning inevitably I would smudge !! Argggg I hate smudging all my efforts. I just want to have pretty nails!!
However I have been lured back in by O.P.I in the past year, I had forgotten how thick (in a good way) the varnishes are. One coat is practically enough. The quality is wonderful, and coupled with my seche vite top coat I don’t have to worry about drying time.
This vibrant summer berry colour is gorgeous. In this photo I only used one coat of base and one of Koala Beary.
Make-up loves………. OPI Koala Beary
I also did a post about this varnish coupled with the Mariah Carey limited edition “Pure” which has white gold and silver leaf in it. check out the look here
We all know it’s coming, the World Cup 2014!!! yeah…….. I’m not gonna lie, football isn’t really my thing, but I do get involved in the world cup fever. Even if you aren’t into football, what a great excuse to base a nail varnish collection on Brazil, one of the most colourful diverse countries in the world. So cheers to the world cup for bringing me Brazil O.P.I.
There are two Brazil Mini collections out, this one and the “sands”. I chose this one as I love all the colours. I find it quite hard to find greens and blue nail polishes that compliment my skin tone, I am quite yellow, and certain colours toned green/blues make me look like I’ve got jaundice (not to flattering). But this deep warm green AmazON…AmazOFF is really flattering against my skin tone. I decided to couple this Green up with the bright orange by the name of Where Did Suzi’s Man-go.
I also created another nail look with the remaining two polishes. The first is my fave’ Next Stop …The Bikini Zone it’s a shimmery ,purpley, silvery, sparkly wondrous polish, I think it looks like a little galaxy in a bottle. Combining this with Kiss Me I’m Brazilian (don’t mind if I do) this colour is smoking hot, a bright burst of fresh Pink; and these two side by side I think look rather exciting. The quality and consistency of all these O.P.I’s are as ever really smooth with a strong application of the colour.
What’s your favorite?
Hope you enjoyed

I just wanted to jazz up my toes and I am pretty pleased with the result. I’ve got a hang up about my feet; they aren’t pretty and they are rather big. However, these things I can deal with. My real hang up is that I can’t go with out polish on my toes, EVER! It just feels so wrong, as if I’ve walked out the house without any clothes on. Even in winter I keep my toe nails painted; it is perhaps a compulsion that I don’t think I’ve ever shared until now. I also don’t particularly like patterns or unusual colours on my toes so I mainly stick with pinks and reds.
I am Smitten with Seche Vite….. Ok worst joke ever!!! I am not ashamed, I’m still rolling with it. This beautiful colour is a bright red with a slight orange tone to it; very retro and glam. Every time I look at my nails all I can see is a beautiful pop of colour.
This polish is of a good consistency. You could practically get away with only one coat as it goes on thick but is really smooth, with a good brush head. Of course I use my fave seche top coat to finish it off, the world’s fastest drying top coat ( so they say).
A worthwhile buy, Seche have a beautiful range of colours. Make-up loves Smitten!!
P.s On the Seche website it says that this colour is a bright pink orange with a shimmer, but that’s not at all like the one I have so I am not sure if it’s the same. I bought mine from Sallys but they have stopped stocking this range in shops but still have it on their website:click here. The code on the bottom of the bottle is 69235 (just in case).
